FSU RB Chris Thompson leaves with a knee injury

Florida State got out of South Beach with a 33-20 win over rival Miami. It wasn’t all a celebration, though.

Seminoles running back Chris Thompson left the game with a knee injury and did not return. Thompson was tackled in the second quarter and had to be assisted off the field.

The extent of the injury is unclear at this time. The senior had 47 yards on seven carries before leaving the game. James Wilder Jr. has come in to relieve Thompson and has since scored on a 17-yard run.

Thompson, as you’ll recall, missed a large portion of last season with a broken back.
