Getty ImagesWhat would a Friday be without an update on Malcolm Brown and Jordan Hicks, really? And by update, I mean reiterating what’s essentially been the same thing for the past several weeks.
Hicks is still out for Texas as the Longhorns prepare for Kansas tomorrow. It’ll be the fifth game he’s missed this season after injuring his hip against Ole Miss last month. Prior to getting hurt, Hicks led the team in tackles. At this point, a medical redshirt has to at least be in consideration for Hicks, one of the better playmakers on defense for UT.
Brown is questionable with an ankle sprain and traveled with the team to Lawrence. The sophomore has been out since suffering that injury in a win over Oklahoma State. Unless Joe Bergeron and Johnathan Gray get hurt, I would venture to guess Brown once again stays on the sidelines.
