Florida lineman with more legal issues

And cue the “of course he is, he’s a Gator” comments.

Anyway, and according to the Miami Herald, offensive lineman Trip Thurman was arrested in June and then again in September. In the first incident, Thurman was initially charged with a third-degree felony for possession of a forged driver’s license or identification card. The charged was later reduced to a misdemeanor and Thurman received deferred prosecution.

Two days after reaching the plea deal, however, he was cited for underage drinking.

The Herald wrote that, "[b]ecause he violated the terms of his deferred prosecution agreement, it’s likely Thurman will now be again facing the charge for misdemeanor possession of a forged driver’s license.”

The school has yet to comment on the situation. The Palm Beach Post notes that Thurman, who has played in three games this season, is the 10th Gator football player arrested since Will Muschamp took over at UF.
