Everyone has their own way of celebrating, and Arkansas linebacker Terrell Williams chose to celebrate the Hogs’ 19-15 win over Tulsa Saturday by drinking and then getting behind the wheel of a car.

Rightfully, he was caught by police and arrested on a DWI charge early Sunday morning, according to Arkansasnews.com. Williams, who is 21, was booked into a local detention center at just past 4 a.m. this morning and released after posting bond. All other details of the incident are scarce at this time.

Williams’ court date has been scheduled for Dec. 14. Arkansas has yet to comment on the situation and what punishment awaits Williams, if any, isn’t known.

Williams is the team’s fourth-leading tackler and recorded seven tackles against Tulsa yesterday.

UPDATED 11:44 p.m. ET: In a release, Arkansas announced that head coach (for now) John L. Smith has indefinitely suspended Williams following the drunk-driving arrest.

“I am very disappointed in the decisions made by Terrell Williams,” Smith said in a statement. “He did not represent himself or the University of Arkansas in a manner we expect and has been suspended indefinitely. We have high expectations for the actions of everyone in our program on and off the field, and our student-athletes will be held accountable.”

This team just can’t keep LBs on the field. This whole season’s been a wash.
