Injuries continue to pile up for Mizzou offensive linemen

Andrew Baggett, Justin Britt AP

Already this year, Missouri has seen four offensive linemen, including three starters, go down with knee injuries of varying degrees of severity.

Unfortunately, that number has been pushed to five.

Mizzou head coach Gary Pinkel confirmed Monday, the Kansas City Star reports, that starting tackle Justin Britt suffered a knee injury in the loss to Florida and, as a result, will miss the remainder of the season.

Pinkel mentioned after the loss that the injury had something to do with Britt’s ACL. ┬áHe said Monday that Britt will undergo surgery next week to repair the damaged ACL

Britt had started the past 22 games for the Tigers at right tackle.

I hate to hear about all these injuries, but realistically Missouri could start 5 walkons on the OL this Saturday and Franklin would still set every passing record in school history.

Agree. This Vols defense is historically bad. I expect Franklin to throw for 300+ and run for nearly 100. This game is going to look like Big 12 football…all offense and not much defense.

But still, Go Vols! If the defense gets anything together mizz, vandy and Kentucky could all be wins. 7-5 may save Dooley.

Not only is Mizzou getting beat in the SEC, they are physically getting beat up as well. I hope Knoxville has empty hospital rooms for More Mizzou players to occupy.
