There was a mild controversy in Miami last month when it was announced that defensive end Kelvin Cain was no longer with the team. The question was whether Cain left on his own accord, or was dismissed. That question was never officially answered, but now it looks like a moot topic of discussion.
Per ‘Canes coach Al Golden, Cain has been reinstated to the team and was back practicing on the scout team Monday.
“It’s personal, but he has been reinstated,” Golden said. “He sorted some things out, so I’m happy for the young man. It’s good to see him back out here today.”
Although Cain is not a starter, he has recorded 11 tackles in seven games this season, adding to the 20 he had in 2011.
