Will Collin Klein play against TCU? ‘I hope so’ Snyder says

Kansas State quarterback Collin Klein missed much of the second half of the Wildcats’ (9-0, No. 2) win over Oklahoma State last Saturday with an injury. That much is known. The actual injury, the extent of it and how long (if at all) he’ll be out are not.

On Monday, K-State coach Bill Snyder offered little in the way of explaining what specifically is hampering his Heisman trophy contender.

He seems fine to me,” Snyder said. When asked if he thought Klein would play this weekend against TCU, Snyder replied “I hope so” which was followed up with a reporter asking “Do you know so?”

“I hope so.”

So… there it is.

If Klein is unable to go against the Horned Frogs, freshman Daniel Sams could get the start. Sams filled in for the injured Klein against the Cowboys, rushing seven times for 20 yards and throwing for another 45.

I was afraid Snyder was going to say he didn’t want Klein to play…

The starters will all play, too much riding on each game.

Kansas State still has plenty of weapons and is well coached that TCU game will be managed whether Klein plays or not.

Most coaches don’t say much about injuries. Look at Michigan this week. Dennard Robinson did not play but his replacement Devin Gardner did very well since he switched to WR at the start of the season and switched back to QB in one week and was very impressive.

Nebraska doesn’t say much anything about injuries. Burkhead might be sitting out for the rest of the season since all told in minutes this year, he has played less than three full games. maybe a medical redshirt request is coming.

The coach will have Kansas State ready to go.

KState looks so much better than anyone expected in the preseason. Looking forward to this one. Losing Klein would suck but it pales in comparison to the hits on the depth chart TCU has taken. I hope Klein gets well soon.

    Go Frogs!

He’s playing, no way he sits out.
