Will Collin Klein play against TCU? ‘I hope so’ Snyder says

Kansas State quarterback Collin Klein missed much of the second half of the Wildcats’ (9-0, No. 2) win over Oklahoma State last Saturday with an injury. That much is known. The actual injury, the extent of it and how long (if at all) he’ll be out are not.

On Monday, K-State coach Bill Snyder offered little in the way of explaining what specifically is hampering his Heisman trophy contender.

He seems fine to me,” Snyder said. When asked if he thought Klein would play this weekend against TCU, Snyder replied “I hope so” which was followed up with a reporter asking “Do you know so?”

“I hope so.”

So... there it is.

If Klein is unable to go against the Horned Frogs, freshman Daniel Sams could get the start. Sams filled in for the injured Klein against the Cowboys, rushing seven times for 20 yards and throwing for another 45.
