Hey florida727, you must mean Mulate’s restaurant. Or maybe the Grand Isle restaurant. Also, Mr B’s Bistro in the French Quarter has the best chicken and andouille gumbo this side of my Mom’s. EAT UP!
As for the Vikings loser, just don’t come for the game. Who cares. One thing is certain, when the Super Bowl comes back after next year the Vikings won’t be in it. And if they are, you know the rest. 5 TIME LOSERS! WHO DAT!

Sorry…I don’t get draw of New Orleans. Its a dirty city with a high crime rate, and outside of binge drinking doesn’t seem to have much to offer.

I guess it is true that if you stay downtown you don’t need a car.

Yes, I have been there twice and have no desire to ever go back.

Congratulations to the city of New Orleans! Now, if I could only remember the name of the place across from the Convention Center, just down and on the same side of the street as Harrah’s… best seafood gumbo on this or any other English-speaking planet. Actually used to order TWO bowls of it for lunch Man, I miss that place.

I’d prefer a trip to New Orleans than going to Dallas. If Dallas had won the bidding ticket prices would have been out of sight with JJ giving his CowBabies season ticket holders first chance. It’s happened in the past where tickets were basically unavailable to the general fan.

Congratulations to the great city of New Orleans. Every player, coach, ballboy, and fan polled in last 40 years or more has said this is where they want to be, in the great city of New Orleans, well actually thats a bunch of BS cause nobody has been polled I just said that…dont know where I got that actually. And it appears we are one step closer to a playoff which we have all demanded for well over 50 years even though we didnt have color TV, or air conditioning, but by god we knew we wanted a playoff so we all advocated for it {down at the Elks Lodge}. Well actually this is BS too cause this playoff jazz didnt become an issue until the BCS was created so I dont know why I said that but I warned you I was going to be pulling stuff out of my arse. LOL

Gatorsnapper, I don’t want to sound like a sour puss but that’s one of the reasons I believe all of that crap with the Commish has kept goin: he and some of the owners didn’t wanna see the Saints succeed let alone become SB Champs in addtion to havin his own agenda with Jonathan Vilma and the others. New Orleans is a City of Dreams and by God some of the best dreams in the World have even started from there as well as have ended there. On a side note, just hope Sean Payton’s not goin to be one of the latter.

I just returned from dining and an evening out in New Orleans, in the Superdome watching the Saints show they actually had a defense to go with the Brees offense and a win. Great dining (as always) a clean and wonderful venue in the Superdome and did not have to drive around town just take a streetcar, great weather and all…a great experience.

The NFL must really like New Orleans and the venue of the Superdome since once again they will have the the biggest game of the year–Super Bowl XLVII, the 47th edition of the Super Bowl on Feb. 3rd 2013.

Of the six host cities, New Orleans is easily the best destination for travelers. Great restaurants, hotels and you don’t need a car … like Los Angeles, Tempe, Atlanta, Miami or Dallas.

Congratulations to the Sugar Bowl Committee and the Mercedes Benz Louisiana Superdome! Polls of college players, coaches, and staffs over the past about 40 years that I have seen is that of all bowl destination cities they prefer, New Orleans comes out first and way out first. I am sure the food is a large part, but there are many other destinations which are fascinating to all visitors. New Orleans knows how to host an event. It is a very good choice and one the players and coaches of the respective SEC and Big 12 teams will thoroughly enjoy and remember.

Pressing toward the playoffs, something we had hoped for and advocated for well over 50 years now and over the past decade, thought we would not live long enough to see it. But, it is just about here!
