Miami’s second-leading receiver suspended indefinitely

As Miami looks to inch closer to clinching the ACC Coastal, they’ll have to do so without the services of one of its top threats in the passing game for the foreseeable future.

In a press release, the Hurricanes announced that wide receiver Rashawn Scott has been indefinitely suspended from the football program. The reason, of course, is unspecified violations of team rules.

Scott is currently second on the team in receptions (35), receiving yards (512), and his three receiving touchdowns are tied for tops on the team.

A Miami win over Virginia today combined with a Georgia Tech win over Duke next weekend would hand the ‘Canes the division title and a likely date in the ACC title game against Florida State.
