Here’s a FACT for you: the Big Ten (TWICE), Big 12 (also TWICE), and Pac 12 all had their chance at beating, and thereby shutting up, the SEC and their fans. Guess what, genius? It didn’t happen. Get over it.

You're joking, right? "Kill THEIR fan base"? Every team in America should have as loyal a fan base as Texas A&M. I've seen less filled stadiums at places like Florida, Alabama, LSU and Georgia, than I have at A&M. Kyle Field NEVER has an empty seat. AND they "travel well".

lol... what idiots voted Alabama better than Texas A&M? We all just watched the game and KNOW which team is better...

If Texas A&M is 10th, then Alabama should have dropped below them. Period. Stupid polls. Thank goodness we have the Clemson/Carolina, Florida/Florida State and the Georgia/Georgia Tech games coming up in two weeks or so.

After 11 games into the season, we will finally get to see if the SEC is any good or not...

Of course, even if all 3 SEC teams lost, it wouldn't effect Alabama because they didn't play any of them this year...

Just my .02

It appears that the corrupt BCS computers have an extreme bias against the Pac-12. Kansas State is good but Oregon has been good a lot longer and deserves the #1 ranking in the BCS. As they say about computers "garbage in - garbage out" and the BCS computers have some extreme garbage fed into them to pick KS over Oregon. Sad that notre dame is ranked so high, but USC will cut them down to size in the last week.

I don't necessarily disagree with you. But from my experience, it's just not wise to start claiming your the best and you can't be beat. I know the ducks talent is deep. I saw them totally dismantle my team and I was left very impressed with there offense. I already know how good their staff is. I'm just saying, an injury here, a turn over their, a lucky bounce to the opponent, and the next thing you know, you've lost a game you should have one. Similar to Bama yesterday. It can and normally does happen. This is why college football is so much more exciting then the pros. Good luck to you, as I am also a PAC-12 fan and want go see the championship from here.

Tone it down a little duck fan. You guys are very good and in the right spot to win it all. But like I've seen many times over, you still got some games to play. Counting your eggs before they hatch is a receipt for getting upset. I agree that your QB is out of this world. I cannot believe the things he is doing as a freshmen. Lets try to remain humble, no ones disagreeing the Ducks are dominate.

if anyone out there who thinks any team can beat the oregon ducks this year- well your nuts. this is what i like to call a state of the art offense created by not just kelly, but also mike bellotti. he recruited kelly because kelly gets it. like mike did.the offensive design, and the hurry, hurry, hurry up
offensplus he is taking his team to the natioane started by mike, but kelly has taken it to a whole new level, and bellotti is a proud father. best college coach and coach of the year chip kelly. the best freshman quarterback is not johnny ( heisman) marciel -- its markus mariota. wake up media, and check this kid out. he's the " natural" just like the movie. he's only 18 years old he never flinches, and he is taking his team to a national championship. only 18 and 3 more years with ducks. be afraid anti duck fans- be very very afraid hes that good- go ducks

Nd held bc to no touchdowns, the first time in 21 games. I always thought sec fans would recognize style points on the defensive side but I guess it's only a one- sided argument that the SEC gets to use to justify their greatness. You basically used the argument to justify bama's loss. By the way, Sec not only lost the bcs #1 this weekend, new #1 defense in scoring is ND - against a 100% FBS schedule btw.

Bama deserves no excuse and gets no excuse. If they are the team that all of the sec said could beat nfl teams then you don't lay eggs against two loss teams at home. Truth of the matter is that reality has proven they maybe just aren't that great and several teams are better. I think more doses of reality are in store, no matter how many fcs teams sec has lined up to close out their season - see Georgia southern, Western Carolina, Jacksonville state, wofford. Those are the opponents of supposed top 10 Georgia, Alabama, Florida, and south Carolina next week. And you want to troll ND's schedule. SEC should be embarrassed.

@poopiedumdum, you make some good points and yes, your team has done what they needed to do, and that's win their games. I give you that.

As far as Georgia goes, I'm not going out on a limb for them. Their a good teambut not great. They will get there's against Bama when the time comes.

I'm no A&M lover either, and I am one who figured they'd be buried in the bottom of the SEC this year while they learned the ropes. I've watched them for years under achieve and kill there fan base. I don't no how many bets I've lost taking them in games it kills me. But I give them credit, they stood toe to toe and blow for blow yesterday. Props to the Aggies for upsetting the best team in the country in their house.

I do have to say though, that A&M does have something different this year. Be it moxie or swagger, they got a young QB who has got the right mix. Johnny football has given that team something different and it's obvious.

No excuses for Bama, but I do have to comment about them having played the week before against one of the more physical teams in the country. That was a big time battle with two heavy weights, and it obviously took it'd toll yesterday.

It's true, the best teams have to find a way to win, and they fell short.

After watching Pitt choke their game away against the Irish last week with far less talent, I figured ND would open up a can on talentless BC, it just didn't happen.

"Navy, Purdue, Miami, BYU, Pitt, BC, & Wake Forest are why ND won’t be playing in the NC over any remaining undefeated teams"

As opposed to Arkansas St., Fresno St, Tennessee Tech, Washington St., Cal and Colorado?

Or Missouri St., Miami, North Texas, and Kansas?

ND has more c wins over top 25 teams than Oregon and Kansas St. combined, and has played 4 less FBS teams than Oregon and K State. You wanna argue about K State's schedule, fine, but you can't argue Oregon's.

The problem with pompous Deb's reasoning is that she and her ilk always assume that the SEC schedule is somehow stronger than everyone else's. How would we know that? First of all, the SEC schools are uniformly inbred. They play each other and few other teams of consequence.

In June, 2012, Jerry Trammel at NewsOK ranked the non-conference schedules of 68 BCS schools. Here is how it fell out for the SEC:

14th: University of Missouri
32nd: University of Florida
33rd: University of Alabama
35th: University of Mississippi
37th: Auburn University
39th: Vanderbilt University
47th: University of Georgia
53rd: University of Tennessee
55th: Louisiana State University
57th: University of Kentucky
58th: Arkansas University
64th: Texas A&M
65th: Mississippi State University
Unranked: University of South Carolina

In addition, he was able to demonstrate that SEC teams play only 8.9% of their games against ranked national powers and only 21.4% of their games away from home.

The SEC has been selling the nation a bill of goods for the past decade. The SEC has played in a number of championship games, but it is certainly fair to ask if they belonged there in the first place.

Cooper... What do you call Georgia squeezing by kentucky or uf by Missouri and Lafayette? Or alabame NOT squeeking by a two loss A&M team that every sec fan said would NEVER handle the sec. On the other side, what was nd going into norman in a game we had no chance in and giving a clinic on football? Every team has games they have to fight through to get a win, especially when teams throw the kitchen sink at you. Pitt and BC admittedly said the game was their super bowl. Here's one thing we don't have on our schedule, FCS teams. The SEC has them in August AND November. You know what else ND doesn't have? A loss.

Where did I say Alabama was the best one-loss team? You sure read a lot into my question.

At first glance, I thought some teams could have been shifted. Then I started thinking about their losses and realized why the teams were ranked as they were. thekatman was raving about SEC bias, and I wondered whether he'd bothered to consider why the teams fell where they did before he started squealing "bias." Some people are so accustomed to squealing the same old, same old, they never look at the data. So I asked a simple question to see whether he could provide an intelligent answer.

I'm not saying Alabama is the best one-loss team--or even that being a one-loss team makes you better than a two-loss team. Today, I think A&M is a better team than Bama despite their two losses. But the rankings are based on who you play and how you lose. Bama lost by 5 points in a hotly contested game to the #9 team. Georgia lost 35-7 in an uncompetitive game to the #12 team. That's why Bama is ranked over Georgia. It's not a conspiracy.

Last year I never once mentioned home or away in discussing Bama's loss versus OSU's loss. I said Bama lost by three in OT to the top-ranked team while OSU lost to an unranked team. Again, what matters is the opponent and the score ... not the venue.

I'm happy for their success this year as it it good for College Football, but they still just get by.

In a few weeks it will all be irrelevant anyways as I predict they will come out to Cali and get beat.

@deb

Why is Alabama the best 1 loss team?

a team that never made much noise in the Big 12 came into Tuscaloosa and handed Bama a loss. Doesn't sound like a top 10 team to me.

Last year all you talked about was OK States loss to ISU on the road. seems like a loss at home is a bigger deal. Granted A&M is ranked. but I believe a true top 5 team shouldn't take a loss from a non top 10 opponent in their own stadium.

why does the SEC get to change the rules? When you lose has always mattered. Some teams can handle the pressure, others can't. that's what separates NC teams from the rest of the top 10.

I know SEC coaches don't care how they win, but has a fan you should never want it given to you. Just like that 6 SEC NC will always have an asterisk, because ESPN made sure only SEC teams played in the game.

There us a defi ite bias in collegd football towards the SEC. Here's proof. Alabama loses to a team ranked in the teens and knly drops to 4. Ealier this yr a #2 USC team loses to a top 10 Stanford and drops out of tbe Top 10.
Please, no whiners from the SEC, because until the SEC plays a 9 game in con sched and dodsnt play FCS schools and plays OIC games out West like LSU has, y'all cannot stand in the biads that the SEC is the toughest conference to play i . Damn good, no doubt, if it's so tough, why iz the cob afraid to play outside the geo?
