No change in the status of Miami’s second-leading WR

Any Miami fans hoping for an update on the playing status of the team’s second-leading receiver, Rashawn Scott, aren’t going to get much news from head coach Al Golden. Turns out “indefinitely suspended” means that Scott is, in fact, suspended indefinitely. Who knew?

Golden said Sunday evening that Scott’s suspension for violating team rules will last at least one more week, meaning he will miss next Saturday’s game against South Florida.

I don’t want to get into it,” Golden said. “It’s football-related for sure.”

Golden added that the status of linebacker Eddie Johnson, who did not travel to Virginia this past weekend, “is yet to be determined.”

Scott has 35 receptions for 512 receiving yards and three touchdowns on the season.
