If you actually look at Leach’s history, all you will see is an unsubstantiated claim made by Craig James and his kid. Investigations didn’t find any evidence of their claims being true, indeed, Adam James’ own testimony contradicted the claims of mis-treatment. TTU was just looking for a way to get out of the contract and avoid paying Leach a bonus and jumped at the first opportunity.

Again, if you take the time to read the emails, and legal filings, all you’ll see is that James was a wing nut who hired a PR firm to trash Leach and that TTU officials used the opportunity to fire him with cause (to save money) and to hire someone they were more comfortable with.

Can someone remind me when football became such a pussy sport, seriously? Back in the day they didn’t have all these penalties for just about anything under the sun. They didn’t have all these lazy ass practices that have a million NCAA rules, back in the day practice was over when the trash cans were full of puke if you know what I mean. I’m not saying we should go back to that, and I understand safety, but come on, these guys are becoming baby’s. Its going from one extreme to the other “snivel, snivel couch made me run, he yelled at me cry me a fricken river. This is why America is falling behind real men are dieing out. This generation needs to find where ever they lost their sacks, and grab them and start talking like men again. Sorry for the rant, but this is getting out of hand!

Look at Leach’s history. If this was the first time I’ve heard about it, then sure, I’ll give him the benefit of the doubt. But he had these issues at Tech, and they fired him, despite his successes. Why people want to give him yet another pass is beyond me.

Wilson on the other hand has NEVER had issues of quitting on his team, and in fact, all he did was produce on the field. Making players roll around in their own puke, and using a fire hose on them (I’m in WA, and these are the rumors) is just plain dumb.

So if you are going to call a spade a spade, logic would dictate that Leach is the issue, not teams that have no history. Leach’s apologists should exercise a little common sense. “Precedent” is persuasive authority for a reason..

Leach is the problem.The AD will back Leach,why he hired him. Like I said before 18 players dont leave the time for no reason.

I like Mike Leach. I think he’s good for college football in terms of him being a smart, energetic coach who runs an innovative offense that’s fun to watch. I defended Leach during the whole Craig James debacle, but this is now the second time Leach has been accused of abuse. It certainly is possible that Leach has been unlucky enough to have had two prima donnas on his teams who both had an axe to grind… but two incidents constitutes a pattern. Almost anything can be explained away once, but when serious allegations are twice levied against the same staff, and at two different schools to boot, then it makes it much harder for the accused to be believed.

This sounds like a baby, that thought he could take advantage to Leech’s past to get his way.

The kid should sit a good long time, and have to earn his way back.

Of course the AD is going to back Leach. Its very hard to recruit at Wazzu and even harder to get a good coach to want to coach there. Mike Price was the best coach I’ve seen them keep in my lifetime and after he started having regular success he took off for the Alabama job. I don’t know who is right or wrong as far as this investigation but I can totally understand why the AD is backing his coach.
