Surgery to end starting Texas Tech LB’s season

West Virginia Texas Tech Football AP

A slap — pimp or otherwise —  wasn’t the only negative coming out of Texas Tech’s close win over Kansas Saturday.

At his weekly Monday news conference in which he apologized for slapping a grad assistant, head coach Tommy Tuberville confirmed that starting linebacker Terrance Bullitt suffered a shoulder injury in the Jayhawks game.  As a result, Bullitt will miss the remainder of the season, including any bowl game for which the Red Raiders qualify.

Bullitt will undergo surgery soon to repair the injury, which is actually an aggravation of one suffered last year.

The junior has started seven games this season for Tech.
