John, I take issue with you calling the Victory Bell played for by Cincinnati and Miami of Ohio “bootleg”, when it was established in the 1890′s, as opposed to the UCLA-USC bell tradition, established a whole fifty years later in 1942

How ya doin Snapper? For us to have lost only 2 I think we’ve done pretty damned good. Thinkin bout it we could be lookin up instead of down for sure. I got a kick outa what ladyhuckleberry said the other nite: she mentioned of how we could all be gettin our come upances with the way things have been goin on the field with all the unnecssary penalties and all. At 75 she sho nuff puts me to shame on catchin calls. Just like Mo Claiborn constantly bein peanlized the other day. She made mention of how he was stuck in defensive mode from LSU but his body was in Dallas that particular day. Oh and she did say if I happened to get on here to tell you hello. I hope when I get that old I’m still a football junkie. Anyway just wanted to hollah at ya. Take care.

Thanks for the shout out for LSU v. Ole Miss. This is a generational rivalry. Historically, you can throw the record books out the window. This game is not usually predictable, though I will agree with you that LSU now has its passing game going (Mettenberger and receivers are doing great), and that loosens the defense for a great groups of running backs, which should run all over Ole Miss.

By the 4th quarter this game may well be a blowout, because I do not think that Miles and staff will allow the team to look past Ole Miss. A few films of what Ole Miss has done to LSU over the years should shock them back to reality.

What is that age old yell, “Go to H…… Ole Miss!”
