He knows the SEC and you have to put a coach in there who has the ability to turn losers into winners. He’s done that in the college ranks. It would also seem the big/successful programs like Ohio State, Penn State, WVU, and others would siphon off some of the best talent. KY would be left with a difficult time of recruiting. How to get the program viable without the best talent, in order to attract the best talent? Won’t be easy on whoever comes.

As far as Louisville goes, while they are a decent team with what appears to be a pretty good head coach that conference of their’s makes it tough to tell how good they actually are.

I think that is Kentucky’s problem, at least a large part of it. Not much local talent. L’ville has been doing well, but I wonder how they would do in the SEC?

He has Louisville at 9-1, and has contacts throughout SEC territory thanks to graduating from Florida, and being an assistant at Texas A&M, Ole Miss, South Carolina, and Florida–he was an excellent DC at both SC and UF. His name has already come up in connection to the potential opening at Arkansas.

If you’re a Louisville fan, I can see not liking me mentioning him, of course.

Both Chavis amd Cutcliffe are “Fulmer guys”. UT chose to move past the Fulmer era and now it is too late-if they wanted to step back in time, they had their chance when Kiffin bolted.

The current AD (Dave Hart) did not hire Dooley, his predecessor Mike Hamilton did. If Hamilton was still in charge, he would have kept Dooley the entire offseason, then fired him the day before the season opened in 2013-the man was that incompetant.
