Oh, he should definitely go to the NFL. And while making his announcement, his very words should be that he prayed about the situation long and hard, and felt in his heart that he wanted to return for his senior season, but just couldn't get past the Georgia Faithful egging his apartment after the SC loss - thus serving it up cold.

"Last year, Barkley was widely viewed as a top-five overall selection — if not the overall No. 1 pick"

There is no way he would have gone ahead of Luck or Griffin III.

First of all stop contradicting yourself. You can't use some of his numbers while ignoring others when trying to evaluate. Scouts dont look at records versus certain teams. they evaluate talent based on what they see on a consistent basis. You can't equate college to NFL. Mediocre college QBs have turned out to be outstanding NFL QBs, likewise the opposite. We won't know how he will perform in the NFL until he does. Last, trying to use ANY college defensive unit as evaluating critera for the NFL is just asinine. It's night and day, some NFL talent on a team does not equal "a" NFL team. Just because he struggled against certain teams doesn't necesarilly mean he'll. struggle against NFL teams. You're comparing apples and Oranges. There are plenty of other circumstances that attributed to the losses that may not necessarily exists in the NFL. (Struggling O-line, coaching, game plans, skill position players, etc). All we know is that he's has some success in college. Will he be the first QB taken? No. But he will be taken in the second round, learn the game as a 2nd or 3rd string QB and hopefully get his shot. Luck didn't play UF, LSU, Bama or SC. He seems to be doing just fine, as many others have.

If Aaron is indeed a 1st round pick then he should go to the NFL. However, if he is projected to go in the 2nd round or later then he should stay in school. Aaron is studying to get his Masters as he has already graduated. Another year of school and he could get his Masters or at least be really close. That would be a big deal for life after the NFL.

Before people start saying Aaron Murray is the next Drew Brees, IMHO he is much more comparable to Colt McCoy; a very, very good college QB who might not quite have the arm and accuracy to overcome his *ahem* 6'1" height.
Also before people say "But he's a 67% passer!" Look at his numbers vs teams with future NFL talent such as SC, UF, LSU and around the corner Bama and they aren't nearly as good. I don't think Murray is anything higher than 2nd-3rd talent at best.
