UTEP’s leading WR busted on weapon, ‘terroristic threat’ charges

New Mexico St UTEP Football AP

Mike Price retired as UTEP’s head football coach yesterday, but the Miners are still in the headlines for other reasons. Unfortunately for UTEP, it involves one of its best players.

Per KFOXTV, leading receiver Jordan Leslie was arrested over the weekend after he allegedly made “terroristic threats” to a fellow student with a gun. Leslie has been charged with one count of unlawful carrying of a weapon and one count of making a terroristic threat, according to El Paso County criminal records.

UTEP has not specified what, if any, disciplinary action the school will take regarding the matter.

Leslie leads the Miners with 805 yards and five touchdowns on the season.

If he had 1,000 yards receiving and 10 TD’s, he’d walk, scott-free. Since it’s only 805 and 5, he’ll get probation. Next year, we’ll welcome him to the SEC :) where he’ll fit right in. Hey, if you can’t laugh at yourself…

If a cop pulls someone over or finds a gun in their car after making a threat to harm should not be around normal people but in jail. Its a automatic 3 years having a weapon on you or in your car without a CCW.Im sure jail time will be his home and have a back ground check run on this kid before we hear about another shooting at a college that could of been prevented. This kid Jordan can be of harm to others around him and school officals..
