Getty ImagesFlorida coach Will Muschamp said earlier this week that starting quarterback Jeff Driskel will play this weekend against Florida State, though just how much was yet to be determined.
After two days of practice, Muschamp has decided Driskel is good enough to start. Muschamp said Wednesday that Driskel “looked very good in practice” Tuesday and will be “ready to go” Saturday against the Seminoles. Driskel suffered a sprained ankle in a win over Louisiana-Lafayette. Backup Jacoby Brissett started last Saturday against Jacksonville State, throwing for 154 yards.
On the season, Driskel has thrown for 1,324 yards, 10 touchdowns and three interceptions.

In recent games the Gators have not generated much offense. They will need to improve on that against the Seminoles. Florida’s defense will be the key. If they are able to play like they have some games and some quarters so far this season, they will do very well. I think it will be the defense that will win the game, but Florida State has a defense and an offense, so it will be tough. It should be a great game. I am definitely planning on watching, or if I have to work, I will definitely DVD it.
Hard fought but I think FSU comes out on top…1-2 TD game.
Goodluck Gators.
has all the makings of a game where the last team with the ball has a chance to win… should be fun to watch
Should be a hard fought defensive battle. While Driskell may start, I wouldn’t expect much…Vegas pulled the game off the board for a reason…
