Happy Thanksgiving! Oh, and Buffalo extends Quinn’s contract

It’s Thanksgiving, so cut us some slack with this early-morning MACtion.

Speaking of which, Happy Turkey Day one and y’all! We here at CFT hope your breasts are plump and your giblets perky as we all scoff in the general direction of gluttony being one of the Seven Deadly Sins, at least for a day.

Anyway, where were we? Oh yeah, back to the headline.

In a press release Wednesday, Buffalo announced that it had reached an agreement with head football coach Jeff Quinn on a contract extension. The new five-year agreement will keep Quinn with the Bulls through the 2017 season.

“Jeff and his staff have poured their hearts and souls into building this program, and we are both excited and optimistic about our future under their leadership,” White said. “To be sure, we feel that the foundation is in place to have a breakout season in 2013.”

In his third season with the Bulls after replacing Turner Gill, Quinn has compiled a 9-26 record.

Nine to the good, 26 to the bad morphing into a contract extension? Someone should be a little more thankful than others as they plow through the pumpkin pie...
