This makes it official, contradicting the opinion I held all season: FSU just isn’t a good team. Despite the talent on the roster, losing to NC State wasn’t a cosmic fluke, just the sign of a bad team with bad coaching.

How in the world could you call it a upset and what honest to God football fan would think that FSU, playing mostly teams in the ACC, could match up against a team, playing mostly teams from the SEC.
Notre Dame may add some legitimacy when it starts play in the ACC, although I think that was probably a move designed to give Notre Dame, an easier road to a good bowl game more than anything else.
It has got to be bad, when Maryland drops out of the ACC, pays that huge penalty for doing so, just to go and get beat up, year after year in the big 10.
The ACC and big East are remarkably close to be second tier to conferences like the SEC, Pac 10, Big 10 and probably a few of the other conferences.
Lucky for FSU, they get to play a 6 loss team for the ACC championship and the right to go to the Orange Bowl. For some unknown reason, the Orange Bowl has aligned itself with that conference, and is now relegated to second tier status as a bowl game.

he gators came out ready pease called a good game today. great win by the gators. read/heard all week they will lose and get dominated because of recent games. i am one happy gators fan tonight 11-1 with that schedule deserves a bcs bowl.

I couldn’t believe what I was seeing. Our defense didn’t show up, ej had way too many picks and consistently overthrew recievers, the fumbles, the special teams punt coverage, poor tackling… who kidnapped our team and gave the jerseys to southern miss?

Today’s win by the Gators shows that they deserve every bit of their current ranking. FSU was dominated in all aspects of the game for 3 quarters.

That said, I’m a big believer in only the conference winners going to the title game. An all-SEC BCS title game is not interesting to me.

I want the SEC to prove its dominance by beating down the other conferences in the bowls.

And it will…Go Gators…GO SEC.

Congratulations to Florida on a great win! Florida showed they were in condition and both their defense and offense really performed. They capitalized on takeaways and ran the ball effectively in the second half when time and condition was a factor. Driskel made the throws he needed to make. Florida showed they were strengthened by their schedule and Florida State came in with great stats and rankings but did not have the advantage of the great competion as did Florida. There is an advantage when your SOS is so good.

The continuing drama will unfold with Stanford and UCLA as well as Notre Dame and USC, as well as conference championship games. The eyes of millions will be watching those games. This season is sadly quickly coming to an end.
