I guess this shows you how much pre-season polls are worth. Who would have expected an unranked ND team to be playing for a national championship, while USC and Oregon would not even be playing for a Pac 12 championship?

If Stanford had started the season with Hogan instead of Nunes, THEY would be playing for the national championship. Right now they are the toughest team in the nation (and the smartest! )

The good news is that Stanford’s win shuts Oregon out of the PAC-12 conference title game. With USC’s loss to ND Duck fans who had already bought their tickets to Miami can close their beaks for beaks (except to listen to their should-ofs and could-ofs about their NO-DEFENSE team that Stanford proved could be beaten. Your PAC-12 title run ended at three featherheads. Counter reset to zero.
