Let’s see how ND’s ACC Schedule stacks up: Wake Forest, Duke, UVa, Boston College, Maryland (for next 2 years anyway) then either Louisville or UCONN. But Wake, Duke, BC, and UVa will all be constants. ND has a great defense but it wouldn’t be so great if they played an SEC schedule. Why? If for no other reason than injuries and emotional drain of playing a top team week-in / week-out. Playing Navy, Pitt, BC, is analogous to the SEC cupcakes that show up on the schedule. Mich and Mich St were not that good this season; Purdue sucks; Miami sucks; BYU was mediocre at best this season as was USC for that matter. Stanford was good and so was Oklahoma. My conclusion is ND will give either Ga or ‘Bama a good game – then they will lose. That is my projection.

That’s why the coaches poll is a joke. You shouldn’t vote on woulda, shoulda, coulda or boo hoo we only lost one game. Bottom line is Notre Dame is 12-0 and the other teams lost a game. They should have all the votes. Anyone know where we can look to see who the 3 coaches were that didn’t vote for ND?

I’m not a Notre Dame fan at all, but it’s interesting that in a span of less than three months, their schedule has gone from “vicious gauntlet, they’ll be lucky to be a 7 or 8 win team” to “yeah they’re undefeated, but look at how soft their schedule was/is”.

I don’t know, obviously you have to take into account how the other teams on their schedule have done, but the fact that Michigan, Michigan State, and USC majorly underachieved isn’t ND’s fault.

SEC fans are like your neighbors annoying dog who won’t stop barking in the middle of the night. Just shut the hell up already! No matter what idiotic excuse you conjure up, it doesn’t change the fact that we are the highest graduation rate having, #1 scoring Defense having, bowl eligible (Integrity= you should look it up) uNDefeated, going to the BCS National Championship game, Numero Uno team in the entire country!

Those that hate on ND, like most haters out there, are simply jealous of what they are not. The greatest fan base in the world – WE ARE ND!!!

Doubt it as they will still have Stanford, USC, navy( cause of the history as long as navy wants it), likely to keep Mich or MSU or a every other year thing. That makes it 10 games with 2 more to pick and ND doesn’t do FCS.

ND accepted an invitation to join the ACC for football. Kinda puts them in a situation similar to all other major college football programs. They will have little choice who they play except for nonconference games. In the ACC there won’t be many top 10 teams except ND. Got a few there who occaisionally bust the top 10.

So the ND mistique will dissipate over time. They will be as someone else said – just one of the boys.

Let’s look at this logically, whoops, that leaves out the SEC fanatics. Last year, Texas A&M was in the Big 12 and finished in the middle of the pack. This year, they are in the SEC and finishing 2nd in the “tough” division of the SEC, beating the Big Dog and only losing by 7 to LSU. Speaking of LSU, who just barely beat 2 division 2 teams and only beat Arkansas by 7, why are they still in the top 10? They have proven over and over they don’t belong there. Oh, that’s right they are in the SEC.

Alabama and Georgia do not get to pick who they play in league play, but, most major conference schools do not schedule ALL of their non-conference games with Division 2 schools. That’s right Alabama played Michigan – I am impressed, NOT!! Except for Ohio State, the Big 10 is terrible this year, so no brownie points for that one either.

Yes, the SEC is far and away the most dominant conference in college football with six teams in the top 10.

BUT, remember that both Georgia and Alabama each only played TWO of those top 10 teams, and they each went 1-1 in those games. They both had easy conference schedules by not having to play any of the difficult teams in the opposite division. So before we go praising Bama and Georgia for coming out of the most difficult conference with six top 10 teams, remember that they each only beat ONE of those top 10 teams.

ND’s SOS is 30, Bama is at 39, Georgia is at 40…not that much separation, and not “WAY” tougher.

8 SEC teams played more difficult schedules than Notre Dame. Neither Alabama or Georgia gets to pick and choose who they play in conference. Bama will easily handle UGA, then you will get your wish….it will probably feel like a giant suppository. LOL

On top of the SOS myth, ND beat 9 bowl eligible teams. Alabama played, what, five of them? Notice I didn’t say “beat” 5 of them. The fact SEC teams play lousy out of conference schedules leads me to believe we don’t really know if the SEC is any good when they only play each other. Anyway, don’t let my facts get in the way of some good trolling.

I’ve gotta say, I’m pretty sick of people with no football knowledge hanging onto the myth ND played an easy schedule while Bama and Georgia went through some huge grinder. ND’s schedule was WAY tougher than both of them. Those teams should be ashamed of their out of conference schedule (I’ll give credit to Alabama for UM at least). Last I checked ND and Alabama both played 3 top 25 teams and one of those two lost one (I’ll let you geniuses figure out who). Georgia played two top 25 teams and won a whopping one of them. I’m not quite sure why some of you watch college football when you don’t seem to know what’s going on.

Hello, is anyone listening….South Carolina beat 10-1 Clemson at their place last night 27-17. Clemson was averaging 45 points a game! and over 500 yards of total offense. Carolina played without its starting QB Connor Shaw not to mention Marcus Lattimore. But Dylan Thompson did a great job throwing, running and leading the offense. Jadaveon Clowney had
4 1/2 sacks. Can the Fighting Gamecocks please have some LOVE! We had what some pundits call the toughest schedule in the country yet we finished 10-2. Lorenzo Ward is a defensive genius and Coach Spurriers (both Father and Son) are genius on offensive. SOS is now the WINNINGEST COACH in South Carolina history and he did it at our nemesis, Clemson! Second straight season of double digit wins for South Carolina! Now can we have some LOVIN’!!!

What more can ND do to win a national championship except beat Alabama on January 7th? Bama fans have to remember the 1973 Sugar Bowl. I believe that kind of sugar will be served up once again in the title game.
