As we usually opine in such a situation: everyone has their own way of celebrating a big win. For Tennessee tight end Brendan Downs, a victory over Kentucky to end the 2012 season apparently calls for tossing back a few brewskis.
Per GoVolsXtra.com, Downs was arrested early Sunday morning for underage consumption of alcohol and public intoxication (pictured) outside a Knoxville bar. According to police, Downs, 19, was “removed” from the Whiskey Dix nightclub by a manager. Once outside, Downs reportedly “created a disturbance by becoming loud and using profane language.”
CFT has obtained eye-witness accounts of the incident, which you can view HERE. Tennessee is still in “fact gathering” mode.
Downs has three catches for 39 yards and a touchdown on the season.
