It would’ve been Notre Dame v. Oregon or the SEC loser, not SEC Winner v. Florida or SEC loser. Sorry.

If a 4 team playoff were to be implemented today, it would be ND v. Florida & UG v. Bama. Out of those 3, I feel Florida would be the toughest test to ND. However, after conference championship week, depending on how bad the loser of the SEC Championship loses, it would probably be ND v. Oregon, SEC Winner v. Florida or SEC Loser rematch. I don’t necessarily think a 4 team playoff would’ve been great this year. For once the BCS got it right this year with the only undefeated team, Notre Dame, playing the winner of the best conference in the land, the SEC Champion.

Boom has won over the fan base quite quickly, both on the field and by not tolerating the stuff that Meyer swept under the rug.

Everyone liked winning under Meyer, but at the same time there was significant uneasiness at the arrests.

I like Boom’s approach, which is control both sides of the LOS and play physical D…basically the same formula as LSU and Bama. I was a pleasure to watch them finish versus FSU and LSU when he had them line up and run it right down their throats. Nothing that the D could do to stop it.

My only worry was his sideline antics, which seem to have calmed down. That just doesn’t play well in Gainesville. Spurrier tossed his visor, but didn’t go into profanity laced tirades like Boom does.

I have to admit that I wasn’t a believer at first. Not a hater mind you, just not “sold” on Muschamp when he first arrived. He’s convinced me. I’m not an “insider” by any stretch, just a fan, but I do play basketball with a guy whose son just transferred in and he says kids will want to play for him because of what he’s developing. The kid transferring in is 6’3″ and 305, an “O” lineman with about a half-percent body fat, who grew up absolutely hating the Gators according to his dad. Now he can’t wait to line up for Coach Will. Glad he’s cleaning up the program too. A reputation for cheating or police records or NCAA violations or whatever is a very hard reputation to get rid of. You have to start somewhere though, and it’s pretty obvious that Muschamp wants his name associated with a program that does things “right”. Continued success, Coach.

Muschamp will win a NC at some point in the coming years. He has a great system in place… and a tremendous support staff… a national brand to exploit.. and oh yeah a hot bed of gifted football players to recruit from. If he doesn’t win one… he will be in the fray almost every year.

Muschamp has actually cleaned up UF, hard to believe, but the players in trouble do not play( see Cody Riggs, Andre debose) good attitude, good coach, and keeping his players out of trouble. If they do they will be kicked off the team, even amazing players such as janoris Jenkins.

Word round the street is that when muschamp first got to Florida, he told JJ he needed to straighten out, JJ said, “do you know who you’re talking to?!”

There goes JJ. Arrest free summer, one alcohol possession by an OL, and that’s pretty much it as far as his players go. That TE who was charged for battery got booted and is playing somewhere in Texas I think.
Once all the Urban cancers get eradicated, the program will be as clean as they come for an sec school.

Any further details on the contract. Like if he has players attend class or stay out of prison does he get a pay cut?

Foley was wise. Good decision. And prior to the season. That helps his resume as well. The bonus of $100K for beating FSU further confirms that the AD and Board has that game marked each year.
