Not necessarily. If Louisville steps directly into Maryland’s shoes, the only teams they’ll definitely play home-and-away with every year would be UVA and Pitt. No ACC team is guaranteed a home-and-away with UNC and Duke every year.

Apparently that was a big bone of contention with Maryland. With ACC expansion, they weren’t going to get home games with UNC and Duke every year, and guaranteeing home games with Pitt and UVA didn’t make up for losing those games.

Great news for Louisville and the ACC. Big athletic improvement over the current Maryland teams. They will probably compete in football right away and may dominate basketball. Look forward to the twice a year meetings between them and Duke, UNC in BB.

such anger. if he is a fraud wouldnt goin to the sec expose that? I’m not sure his teams beatin pitt ,cuse and miami will expose anything. you listed those teams like they are arent avg. other then fsu and clemson everyone in the acc is on an even playin field.

The Louisville AD kind of got a dig in with the comment about staying in the Eastern Time Zone. I guess they didn’t want to play Boise, SDSU and the Conf USA rejects.

Well that should seal the deal on Charlie Strong to the SEC. He’s got to get his contract now, probably at Arkansas, before he is exposed for the fraud that he is when Miami, Va Tech, Carolina, Syracuse, Pitt, and FSU stomp a mudhole in him.

They cannot be too happy at Storrs right now. But the ACC football schools were placated. Rick Pitino brings his element of sleaze to the ACC.
