Mullen and Golden would be great hires but why would Jumbo Fisher leave FSU for the Vols. FSU Is a better job, they have top 5 recruiting classes & they put out more nfl talent. Being a SEC school just isn’t enough. Besides the conference what does the school have to offer to get guys like Jimbo Fisher to leave big time programs like FSU.

Gruden will be the head coach of the Cleveland Browns by the end of February if not sooner.

The Browns, believe it or not, are in a position to attract a head coach the caliber of Jon Gruden.

A tough, young defense. A stud running back and a virtually guaranteed high draft choice would be a very attractive package that would fit Gruden’s style perfectly.

everyone in the world except for moron vol fans and writers knew gruden didn’t want the job, would never take it no matter how much money was offered and would never waste his time even thinking about a second rate college!!!!

vols writers tried to create media interest in the open hc job but thank god gruden finally shut them up that he never even thought about taking that horrid job. the nfl is what he loves and where he belongs and but if a first rate college like nd, usc, Alabama etc would offer him a hc job he would def entertain the offer but the only college team he said he would ever coach is Notre Dame!!!

Plausible deniability.

This deal was taken out of Dave Hart’s hands weeks ago. Its probably true that the University hasn’t made any offer, but there IS an offer on the table, and this thing isn’t dead until Gruden says its dead, and he has been yet spoken.

This is all pretty funny actually. The fact that Dave Hart has been sitting on his ass in Knoxville since Dooley was canned tells me something is up.
