ROTFLMFAO!! Man Jonky, you already are on those mind-altering drugs! Maybe it's a conspiracy against Clemson and its all flowing through your mind. Carolina coaches on the field; Carolina playing with 13 players; Clemson's receivers having "hands of stone; Carolina's O-line holding on every play; Chick-Fil-A representatives introduced instead of Sugar Bowl reps; etc. Son (I gotta stop laughing), you are F-ing certifiably nuts! Reminds me of that movie a few years back, "A
Beautiful Mind" about a Nobel Prize winning Princeton professor suffering from schizophrenia. Except your mind isn't beautiful; you sure as hell aren't any kind of prize winner (except Booby Prize); but you are schizo, this I'm sure of. Take your meds before you kill someone!

Why would the Vols want any former HC with prior NCAA issues (i.e., the Vest, Butch Davis, etc.)?

They should find a top shelf assistant defensive coach, groom him, and let him grow. Given UT's facilities and history, this is a good job. I would go after guys like Strong (if you want a former stud DC who has proven himself as a HC) if you want more of a sure thing, but you have to be able to move him.

@thegamecocker the bipolar lying scumbag, you moron started the name calling a long time ago. In fact, I didn't respond to your tantrums until you made it personal three times. You started the personal attacks in this thread as you do in every thread. You're a very very sick individual that is starved for attention.

As for the game, y'all won. That made you SEC champs again? On to the Super Bowl next? Moron, your team hasn't won a conference title since 1969. It would have been their second, but the NCAA stripped them of the 1965 title, because as usual, the Shamecocks can't play by the rules. As usual yous Jailcocks were .500 or less against teams with winning records. Like the Ole Ball Sack, you and the rest of the Cock swollowers are frauds. How are you enjoying sixth place in the SEC. As your teams record gets better (because you only play 3 or 4 good teams a year) you sink further. Fifth last year and second in 2010.

If the game was so clean: if Clemson won they were headed to the Sugar Bowl; why did they introduce the Chick Fil A Bowl Rep before the game and no others? I'll bet everything your own, which is less than a week's pay for me, that Clemson is headed to Atlanta New Years Eve.

Why was the Ole Ball Sack between the hash marks on three different times while the play clock was running and no flag? Why were your coaches on the field every play with no flag? Why did your team call plays with 13 players on the field almost every play with one flag? Your OLine haven't a clue how to block without holding on every play. Still, Clemson should have won. If they had caught any one of three balls thrown to a Tiger DB, Clemson wins. If Clemson hadn't given up the running game that made Clowney look like a duck out of water in the first half, they would have won. If Hopkins, the most reliable WR all year hadn't developed stone hands, the outcome might have been different. Y'all didn't win as much as Clemson gave it away. Next time watch a game live, not TV or the highlight reel.

Now go ahead and have last word as you always do and then drag out your alternate screen names as usual, I'm thru with you!!!

Jimbo...agreed.

The most bizarre aspect of this comedy is the fact that Dave Hart has been planted in his office since Dooley was canned. It makes no sense unless this Gruden deal was near a close, or that there is another candidate that has been redlining an agreement for the last 10 days. Its crazy.

Anyway, I do want Gruden now more than ever for the simple fact that Bama fans are pissing all over the hire, calling Gruden a failure and advising him to stay in the NFL. Its hilarious, I guess none of these clowns read Saban's resume before he was hired.

And finally, to all you Bammers, the Manhattan Project was not a disco band from the 70's. rotf

Won't stoop down to the name calling, sophomoric comments you make. That would make me like you and we are not anything alike. But we both know that Jadeveon Clowney and any other student transcripts are private and certainly not of public record. So your comments are not at all true. That makes you a liar. I'm saying that because it is fact.

I suppose you cannot handle the 4th straight loss Clemson has suffered at the hands of the Fighting Gamecocks. I thought the game was cleanly played with only one cheap shot. Your CB nailed Bruce Ellington with his back turned. Other than that, nothing to speak of. Better take your blood pressure meds because more coming next year. But, the Lady Gamecocks BBall already destroyed their Clemson counterparts. Looking forward to Frank Martin's club hosting the Tiger's Dec. 7 (Pearl Harbor anniversary....look it up dummy). Than onto Baseball season. Son, as long as we beat Clemson in whatever the sport or activity, it just warms my heart to no end. That 5 Star recruit the Tiger's lost recently must have broken your heart. You may want to consider some mood changing drugs because you need it. One last thing: Dabo is unhappy with your landscape trimming....even your gardening skills are waning.
(Look up the word "waning", stupid).

You know, I didn't really believe the Gruden thing either-that is until people started denying things and that is when you know there is some fire to go with the smoke. I agree with you that "well placed sources" generally means some bullcrap that someone thought up in the middle of a bender.

If this whole thing broke down on a budget for assistants, I would expect that could be resolved with a few phone calls to some big boosters.

Tressel will happen when David Duke is named the ADL's Man of the Year. Its a smokescreen.

If today's reports are true, and there is no reason to believe them to be honest, then UT has royally screwed the pooch by putting all their eggs in the Gruden basket. My view is that the Gruden thing is probably still alive and until I see a statement from the man himself then thats what I'm going with.

Anyway, all this speculation about "odds" is hilarious. There are maybe 4 people who knows what names are on the shortlist. Security around this search pretty much mirrors the Manhattan Project. The only real odds I'd take right now are on the probability that Tennessee screws this up. 2/1

BTW, your pathetic attack on me doesn't change or hide the fact that over $60,000. of impermissible benefits at the Whitney is one of the largest infractions to date. I believe the Reggie Bush house is the only one to top it.

It also doesn't change the facts surrounding Clowney's HS transcript or when he promoted a party at a strip club last winter. A secondary NCAA violation that was also swept under the rug. Not sure how Nut Sack gets away with it.

Hey Jonky.....I see you come fishing for me heh, son! Still smarting over last Saturday's 27-17 loss to the Fighting Gamecocks at Death Valley II huh? Four in a row isn't it? I see Tajh Boyd may be seeing where he stands in the upcoming NFL draft. I don't blame him seeing how Jadeveon Clowney will be back to harass him again next season. Your hatred for THE University of South Carolina runs very deep. Maybe time for some anger management therapy sessions, don't ya think? Maybe you should learn from your esteemed Coach Sweeney and just not say anything...be a gracious loser who shows some semblance of sportsmanship. Why not go back to your hole and think about that. BTW, I have not seen "FAT BRAD SCOTT" much in the upstate. How's the "Fat Man" doing? I know he had a successful run as "BENEDICT ARNOLD" some years back.....look it up stupid.

Why not go back to your hole and think about that. BTW, I have not seen “FAT BRAD SCOTT” much in the upstate. How’s the “Fat Man” doing? I know he had a successful run as “BENEDICT ARNOLD” some years back…..look it up stupid.

I find it amazing that Davis lost his job at UNC for impermissible benefits and questionable academics. Tressel lost his job at OSU for impermissible benefits; yet Spurrier got a raise despite the fact that football players at South Carolina got more than three times the benefits of Davis and Tressel's teams combined. SC is also the only school to not only retain, but give a raise to a registered sex offender (GA Mangus). Amazing how Clowney had a 0.3 GPA going into his senior year at HS, had less than 550 on his SAT's, but still qualified at SC. That's right his transcripts amazingly changed after he signed with Spurrier.

As a UT grad, if either Tressel or Davis is hired, my checkbook will be permanately closed to the school.

Why would any SEC team even consider Tressel? His record vs the conference is not exactly sterling.

Why? He's tanned, he's rested, he's ready. Keep Tressell's players away from tattoo parlors and he'll win you a lot of games.

Seriously, let him get through the NCAA-imposed sanctions, and make sure he knows NOT to repeat mistakes, and you've got a head coach that would win big wherever he coaches.
