Colorado has done NOTHING to prove it belongs. Since the 70-3 beating at the hands of Texas in the B12 title game a few years back, there is little to cheer about for the buffs.

And let’s face it, if you’re down to comparing restaurants to figure out who has the better recruiting pitch between Purdue and CU, the game is already lost.

Either way (UC, CU or PU) you’re looking at a bottom-half team in conference play.

I suppose if you prefer to Ski over watching basketball games in the winter, then perhaps CU is a good choice.

Don’t get me wrong, Colorado is great! But the CU program needs FAR too much work. Even with the big money and a long contract it’s going to take far to long to pull the progam out of the sinkhole its been in for a number of years.

In the mean time, his resume goes in the toilet. He could spend 4-5 years rebuilding, they let him go, and he’s left with a .500 coaching record, even if he leaves em better off than when he arrived!

I just dont see it as a good move.

I think it’s about keeping your job as opposed to attending Big Ten Basketball. Tough to recruit to Purdue. Colorado is easier on the eyes, solid facilities, skiing, good restaurants, great education, good looking women, play in PAC 12, Ralphie, etc. Purdue’s mascot is some giant cowboy looking dude who frightens the hell out of me! Great school though! Remember Leroy Keys? I think he played both offense and defense. One of my favorite college players. Wonder what he is doing these days?

I really doubt that either will be in a BCS bowl within the amount of time a new coach is usually allowed to turn a team around. He has done a good job in Cincy and wish him luck (he will need it regardless of which school he picks).

Beautiful campus, nice stadium, clean living, member of PAC 12, good restaurants, solid academics, good facilities……Tom O’brien would do well at this school. Mike Leach would have done well here too but he’s already situated at Wazzou.
