Lets not make it seem like “the children” and their parents don’t do the same thing in regards to making commitments and decommitments all the way to signing day. College football has become a very different business with very little commitment from anybody except maybe the fans

Who’s lying?

Both Jones and CU merely stated that no deal is done.

Neither said a deal is not in the works. You don’t make a formal announcement until all of the details are worked out and a final contract is signed. My guess is they are fine tuning the language in the contract.

If your not going to let your kid play for a coach that lies, then I guess your kid isn’t going to play. They pretty much all say one thing and then do another. They all say they are staying, meanwhile they have the car warming up in the parking lot, pointed in the direction of their new jobs.

Colleges are the only place where contracts mean absolutely nothing. Whether your a coach or a school looking to ditch your conference, they all make agreements then look to break them when something better comes along.

Don’t blame the coaches or the schools, blame the system for allowing it to happen.

F the coach and go play ball at a great academic school. That’s how the student athlete can negate the issue of choosing a school based on a lying car salesman coach.

Since Jones just can’t seem to decide if the the Buffs job is right for him after this much time, CU should rescind their offer and move on to a qualified coach that actually would be excited to have the position and the millions…
