Kids growing up watch college football and dream of someday being a part of it.Recruits see a team winning National Championships and sure they want to play there and be a winner also,who can blame them.Part has to do with Saban and Part has to do with the school that can rank in the top 5 each season.Most of the best recruits come to the SEC cause its proven we`re winners in college football and they want to be a part of a NC before they move on into life,count the last several Champions and its a fact the SEC rules.

Just curious here. Who exactly is your idea of a good head coach, and what school do you favor. Young athletes flock to Alabama because the coach is a very good one, and the program has proven to be top notch for the last few years of recent history, mostly due to Saban’s abilities as a HC.
Georgia has a great coach also in Richt, that would seem to be on the up and up, and kids gravitate to UGA and him also. I guess though, you probably don’t like him either, but that is your preference.

If Auburn wants to be relevent again soon, they need to do it the Bama way…….
Hire a coach with no morals or ethics.
Then look the other way while he passes out the presents, promises, and cash to 5 star recruits and their mamas.

I’m very curious as to what recruits Gus WANTS to keep. Much of the talk is about what guys we get to stay and not decommitt . many of those wavering seem to be AU’s 4 & 5 star defensive players. Honestly I’m not sure why these guys would want to go elsewhere. They got an upgrade on the other side of the ball calling plays now (The mad scientist is back) they got an upgrade coaching them up & leading the defense (Ellis knows sec football), & Trooper is Gone!!! Look at all the guys trooper recruited and track their college careers. The buddy buddy thing doesn’t pay off. Short term losing trooper might sting, long run it makes all the sense in the world. War Eagle!!!

Auburn has the players for Gus’ style already. The problem last year was trying to get those players to work in a pro style offense. I expect auburn to be much better then last year, straight away.

Wow. I sure hope this guy is the OC in name only, and that Malzahn keeps full control of the offense. From graduate assistant to an SEC OC within a little over 24 months? That’s scary.

Another good hire for Malzahn. Nothing Auburn is doing in the coaching department is incredibly sexy but there’s a chess-like approach that I feel will payoff more in the long-run, to include rebuilding the trust and credibility of the program. Much preferred over playing poker with Bobby Petrino or another Hodge-podge of random coaches like we dealt with last season.

Might be a pretty smart move. The more SEC savvy coaches he can hire, the quicker Auburn recovers and becomes competitive. The new OC, surely knows Auburn and the HC well enough to work out well. They do need to get or train a QB though that can throw a better ball, and think a little more on his feet. Maybe this new HC will be able to properly train the young ones there.
