Uh oh.
We told you over the summer that Auburn had landed linebacker Rueben Foster, the former five-star linebacker, according to Rivals.com, who had originally committed to Alabama before switching his allegiance. Not long after Foster pledged his verbal, non-binding commitment to the Tigers, he “inked” his letter of intent on his arm. So to speak.
Now, five months later, Foster has decommitted from Auburn according to multiple recruiting outlets. Foster did tell 247Sports that Auburn is still in the mix and will be considered before he makes his final decision.
Auburn hired former offensive coordinator Gus Malzahn earlier this week and Malzahn released everyone on Gene Chizik‘s coaching staff, including wide receivers coach Trooper Taylor. Taylor recruited Foster to Auburn.
“If Trooper Taylor stays at Auburn, I am all in. If he goes, I will see where he goes too,” Foster told ESPN earlier this week. “I just need to see where he ends up. If he goes to another school, I will go there. Hopefully that school will want me too because I would love to follow him.”

A LB following around a wide receivers coach. Hmmm.
Talk about a kid the just doesn’t get it at so many levels. Get a clue. Grow up.
Kid looks like he should be going straight into the NFL, could he be more stacked?
Lane, hire Trooper Taylor
That says it all!
Congrats to Coach Malzahn for sweeping out the dirt on the Auburn staff. And if that LB just wants to follow Trooper Taylor, then Auburn is better off without him.
Urban Meyer, hurry up and hire Trooper Taylor. We need LB’s badly!
UT lets hire Trooper and we will cover up that tat
Following the money.
Isn’t Trooper being investigated by the NCAA?
Lot of these kids develop relationships with coaches when they are 13 or 14. While it may seem naive on his part to pick a coach and not a school it’s his choice. He want to be loyal to Taylor I don’t think that is not a negative.
@kane
as far as the lb following a wr coach. recruiting is not always done by position coach it’s done by area and who on staff has a good relationship with local coaches. Example of this is last yr uf specials teams and lb coach D.J. Durkin brought in five star left tackle D.J. Humphries and several other North Carolina players. Durkin recruits North carolina for the gators.
@thecincinnatikid2:
Be careful what you wish for. The kid seems to have an obsession with tattoos as it is.

If he isn’t, he should be.
Drama queen.
Oregon state hire that coach!
Trooper is toxic. Burns bridges everywhere. No team wants him and the NCAA baggage he brings.
Within 15 days of hiring Trooper Taylor the NCAA will open a field office in the the city of the hiring school.
Reminds me of the dumb Texans fan that got a SB Champ tattooed on his arm and the next week Matt Schaub went down. Doh!
Come to A&M and wins championship(s) with Manziel
Urban Meyer should probably hire Trooper. I here they are pretty good with Tattoo’s up near Columbus.
He said the same thing about Chizic. He will end up at auburn, he is just bring a star athlete diva. He is seeing if he can away auburn decisions.
Yes, OSU, Oregon, TX hire Trooper to get his 5-star lap dog. Good plan. I’m sure those programs would have nothing but the player’s very best interests at heart.
Trooper was smart and only made a small deposit. If this kid wants the balance, he needs to follow TT to his new gig.
Hope Trooper doesn’t go to West Point.

Hmm, I wonder why he’s so dedicated to this coach? Who fronted the cash for such a large tattoo for a highschool kid?
Trooper going to West Point…that’s funny right there
Rueben Foster has always said from the beginning that him and Tray Matthews will play on the same team in college. One of three things will happen,Tray and Rueben will both play for Georgia or Tray will decommit and both will go to Auburn or Tray will decommit and both will play elsewhere.I knew this was coming from the start when Rueben commited to Auburn and tried like hell to get Tray to join him as Tray likewise to Rueben.Couple kids,i wonder if they will get a room together in the same dorm.Great players though but kids heads on mens bodys.Rueben i cant understand the tattoo lol, amazing.

If you are referring to UT, we already had Taylor-and do not want him back.
If you are referring to Texas, they can have him.
I am curious to see what team will hire T. Taylor to get Foster. I don’t think it will be anybody in the SEC, but one never knows.
People who tat themselves up and still command the best jobs in life are one in a million. Of course the media, primarily the sports media by default, has fooled us into thinking that having neck tats or sleeves is normal. It’s not. There is a whole generation of people who are condemning themselves to bottom rung jobs because they are all inked up and right or wrong, will carry for the rest of their lives, the burden of looking like they have self esteem issues .
Truth be told, if Foster turns out in college to be as good as he is advertised, tell me what NFL team will be worried about his tattoos and not draft him if he has one. Million dollar contracts have a way of making a tattoo pretty much secondary, and the kid got the Auburn one, no doubt via money from an outside source, but believe me, Foster has no self esteem issues. I guess, you can say, Foster is that one in a million guys in life, you mentioned.
Think about all of the rich movie stars with tattoos also. Think they have low self esteem? Egomaniacs maybe and way too full of themselves, but hardly low in self esteem.
Each generation has something new and right now, it is tattoos that these young folks tend to crave to a large extent. My generation, had long hair when I was growing up in the 60′s and was looked on with similar distain by the older generation so it is nothing new really. Now my generation is looked down once again, and deservedly so for some of the worse politicians to ever grace our land.
No matter where Foster ends up, he will remember where he had a lot of fun as a young kid with that tattoo, and I don’t think it will amount to a hill of beans, to any coach that might ultimately land him in February.
Can’t these do dads just for once own up to the truth. Are they all raised to lie like hell.
The truth, Auburn was embarrassed this year and is in rebuilding so no big national stage for this team for several years and this guy ain’t sticking around.
NFL players? Roughly one in every 175,000. Very long odds.
Actors? One Ina million
Looked poorly upon for long hair? Remedied in 20 minutes with this new thing called a haircut.
Sleeves and neck tats? Permanent, often goofy markings that exclude you from so many things in life. And just as I said earlier, woebegone has been fooled by media to think its normal. Tattoos are for entertainers and losers. The rest of us who are hard working members of society and trying to perhaps, advance our lives, ink is Dead End Boulevard.
In other news, stock in Wrecking Balm tattoo remover increased 40% today.
damn rueben, that’s one ugly tattoo.
