Gentlemen:

Games are won or lost on the field. Being a Gamecock fan, I have witnessed our team playing down to the level of the opponent and getting beat. My sense is because this is a veteran team, we will play well and this will not be the case. Despite what some have said on this blog, Michigan is a solid football team and South Carolina better respect that or we will be upset. They have speed and their line play is improving, albeit with young players. Carolina is a good team this year...but not that good that we should take Michigan lightly. And with no Marcus Lattimore and a gimpy Connor Shaw, the game should be pretty close. The Head Ball Coach and DC Ward will hopefully inspire SC to play to its potential.

Yeah but unfortunately this year they have pretty much played solid football all year with the possible exception of the early debacles in the Florida game. I don't see this one being close for very long as much as I hope otherwise.

Well, South Carolina is well known for playing down to the level of their opponent. Not a crack on South Carolina, just that they have won some ugly ugly games the last few years. On a few occasions such as the UGA game this year, they have came out and blew the doors off somebody but those occasions have been few and far between.

This bowl is a joke. A solid SEC team playing a so-so Big 10 team is gonna win by 14 if only their second string team takes the field. Someone on a previous post said we need a bowl czar to pick the bowls so they aren't lopsided. I think that might be a good idea with pairings picked by the czar and voted on by the fans but it would never happen due to the money aspect and the fact that some teams' fans travel better than others.
