Nick Montana will reportedly continue his playing career at Tulane

Transferring has been somewhat of a common theme for the Montana family. For Nick Montana, a commitment to Tulane will hopefully be his last.

The New Orleans Times-Picayune reports that Montana will enroll at Tulane following one year at Mt. San Antonio College in California where he threw for 2,652 yards and 22 touchdowns this season. Montana will be a junior in 2013. Tulane has not confirmed the report.

The son of NFL Hall of Famer Joe Montana began his collegiate career at Washington, but sat behind Keith Price and eventually transferred after the 2011 season. Montana saw most of his action late last season when Price suffered a knee injury against USC and recorded one start the next week against Oregon State, a 38-21 loss.

Nick’s brother, Nate, has also transferred a few times during his college career. Those stops have included Notre Dame (a couple of times), Montana (we know, a tragedy) and West Virginia Wesleyan.
