Saban is not going anywhere. The guy is smart. He knows he hates losing more than he loves winning. In the NFL, where there’s a salary cap & most teams are talented, he could lose 6-7 games and still be in the hunt. It’d be hard to focus on the playoffs if he’s stewing over that many losses. At Bama, he’ll always have elite talent & will likely lose no more than 2-3 games a year…and that’s worst case scenario. He’ll face 8-9 opponents that won’t even compete w/ his talent so he can really focus on LSU, the SEC East champ & his bowl opponent. It’s a no brainer…Saban ain’t goin anywhere.

Or this could just be a talented young coach accepting an increase in both responsibility and pay at one of the premier football programs in the country, in an effort to further his coaching career. Either one.
