I wish Tyler good luck but am not sad to see him go. He was never fully committed mentally. I look forward to having a QB with leadership skills.

He will not go in the first three rounds most likely, but his chances of improving anymore at Tenn. weren’t that good for next year, so he is in a tough spot. Might as well make some bucks if he can, and not risk injury with compensation. Besides, we know he can pitch a BUD as well as anybody around, so the NFL will take note of that fact.

Tyler Bray is making the right decision for himself. Considering that his top 2 wide receivers are turning pro while his 3rd wide receiver and top tight end are graduating, he should go pro. It is not so much about him learning a new offense as much as it is that Bray is not the dual threat type quarterback needed for a Butch Jones type of offense. Tyler Bray would not improve his draft stock in that offense. Going pro is his only logical option, in my opinion when you evaluate all the facts.

As a UT fan, thank God!Mr. Clutch can’t get out of town soon enough.
Whichever GM drafts him for a non-backup role will be fired because of him, and deservedly so. Let the Nathan Peterman era begin!

Well UT fans arent too broken up over this. Bray underperformed, and Hunter didnt help with all the drops, particularly the ones standing in the end zone.

Bray could have been a top 10 pick next year, but as it is somebody will grab him in the 2nd round, probably best for everybody he’s leaving early. Vols have two very good QBs on the roster behind him.

Good decision. Very weak qb class. What if the coach that’s hired runs the wing t. He sits on the bench his senior year. If the coach was not fired, he would have stayed

Bray should have stuck around for another year. No question about his arm, but the guy has shown repeatedly that he has a ten cent head. Could have improved his draft position a great deal had he come back and shown some maturity. As things are, sure some team will tab him in the second or third round where he will ride the pine. On one hand, I understand the point of getting paid, but few ever get better by not playing and if his attitude issues carry over to the pros, he could have a very short Jimmy Clausen-esque career.

Does he think that he won’t have to learn a new system in the NFL? He should have stayed at least another year with the new HC, OC and QB coach. He didn’t change anything but his draft ranking.
