Sooners O-lineman expected to miss Cotton Bowl with knee injury

Offensive line attrition has been a problem for Oklahoma this year. As the Sooners close the 2012-13 season, they’ll be down one player in the trenches one more time.

Bob Stoops confirmed Friday that sophomore Daryl Williams is expected to miss the Cotton Bowl next month against Texas A&M. Williams is rehabbing a right knee injury he suffered late in the year.

Williams started the first 10 games of the season at right tackle. When Williams, an All-Big 12 Honorable Mention, sustained the knee sprain in a win over West Virginia, there was hope that perhaps he would be back in time for OU’s bowl game.

That now appears unlikely.
