I will be the first to say that something sounds fishy here, but if we are going to make a conspiracy here, lets look at the $$$$ first and not the over/under ona second (or third?) rate bowl game.

So just a follow up comment. We ALL know the Bars close at 2a.m. So we just connot assume that they were invited up for sex…its not like they could all have gone back to the TEAM Hotel. I assume it was to continue to party and the boys looked at it different. They took what they went for. I am a man..I went to college. I have known many chicks that loved to party. I am not a Texas fan I am an OU fan. It just makes me sick every time I think about this. These boys threw so much away even if they are prven innocent they are branded. I cant imagine either of them ever taking the field again as a Longhorn. Mac has been on thin ice for 2 years now. I can only think that this is the final nail in his coffin as well. The full facts will not be given to the public immediately in any case. Some on this board assume this article to be the full facts which it isnt.

Heres what limited facts we do know. They retreated to the Hotel room around 2a.m. Within that same hour 2-3a.m. the police were summoned to the Hotel for a suspected sexual assalt. In my mind something unwanted took place in that room seeing that it was immediately reported. But in true fashion this will be swept away and the privledge will remain just that. Taking what they want when they want it even though someone says no.

Ash was named as the starter for the Alamo Bowl.
Is this merely an excuse now to groom Ash’s backup

Sexual assault on women is a serious matter. The statistics are somewhere that 6 out of 10 women will be sexually assaulted at some point in their life. So you guys, take a look at the women in your life, your mom, sister, wife, daughter, neighbor, co-worker, you are sure to find someone you know that has been violated.
That being said, you can’t tank up on drinks, invite guys to your room, drink some more, so much that you really don’t remember everything that went on and then claim to be a victim.

the only thing these young men are guilty of right now are violating the UT 11pm curfew, and using poor judgement. Im suprised someone didnt see them out at 2am and ask them why they were there. We dont know what took place during the course of conversation with the three of them or up in the hotel room once they were in there.

non the less, when you head to a hotel room with someone you just met at 2am, nine times out of ten, you are about to get laid, drink more, and then get laid, or you are gonna pass out sleep and get laid in the morning…I think most of us can agree on that.

most of the people who post on this board are men, so think back to all the crazy ish you did in your late teens/early 20′s…all of the stuff you did in college or the military…the many times you had a one night stand….the many times you and your boys met a couple of chicks, shot the breeze, bought round after round, and when the club closed, everyone went and got a room and scored….

when I think back to those crazy times in my life, Ive never forced myself on a woman and never had a woman tell me “NO” before, during or after the act….protect yourself fella’s.

I’m a guy, and I promised you I’ve said “No” plenty of time and the woman kept on going..
When I tried to tell my buddies that I was violated, they laughed, and these were women buddies… Anyway, I apologized if I offended anyone and I no one thinks I’m making light of this situation.. Bc it is serious and should be taken seriously.

So you’re willing to ruin two young boys future because she invited them over to do whatever. So when two adults are having consensual intercourse with one another, and in the middle of their intimate struggle one saids “No” anything after, according to you is rape. How exactly is that right?
Just by what I’ve just read, nothing illegal happened here.
I try to avoid this subject but it really gets under my skin when people try to justify such a serious accusation so casually as you have put it…
If the woman would have said no before the men enter her room, then absolutely fry em. Even if they were in the room and she let them know before hand that they are only drinking buddies, or poker buddies, to watch movie with, or whatever other then sex and they violated her anyway… Then sure fry em if that’s what happened…
But from this story and the evidence shown so far, nothing was proven..
Remembered the Duke LaCross team, anyone?!?

If she said no during any point, it’s rape. Hope this helps. Her being drunk doesn’t give them the right to keep going if she said no. Her blacking out doesn’t give them the right to keep going if she said no. What she wore, what she did, what she drank, who she invited over means NOTHING if she said no at any point in the night.

Wow, the handling of alleged assaults like this stinks. Nothing in the story suggesting any assault, no violent acts, it all sounds consensual, and these guys get crucified in the press while the other willing participant who invited two guys back to her hotel room at 2 am remains anonymous? What exactly from the story would warrant any investigation?
