funny how it all seems to turn out differently for the badgers when they are not playing the IU’s of the football world and running up the score isn’t it?just keep telling yourselves at least we made to the rose bowl if it makes you feel better. they should not have even been playing in the rose bowl but lucked into it since the teams better than them were ineligible for league title this year. racking up big numbers against weak schools means nothing when you choke every time against the big boys in the rose bowl.

So Stanford, the number 7 team, plays Wisconsin the unranked, and that is an even match up? Why is Alvarez a great coach? Answer, he WAS. He IS NOT the coach now, he is the AD at Wisconsin. So he had two weeks to get ready for a bowl game after not coaching for 7 years. And Stanford only barely won. These bowl games are a joke. The Big 10 should have fielded maybe 2 teams – very weak conference this year. And yet they were in every game all the way through the 3rd quarter of each.

Major overhaul coming for UW next year, I think Barry finally gets it. Redshirt freshman Bart Housten QB was rated in top 5 nationally while in high school, he is a typical pro-spread talent. Now UW goes out and gets new offensive coordinator with the spread being his specialty. Smash mouth football is too one dimensional to consistently win. Next year is going to be fun, UW won’t go exclusivly to spread, but they will mix it up enuf to be a nitemare for a lot of teams. Just hoping!

Brett won three B1G titles as well, yet he is considered a chump by UW fans. And they both ran basically the same offense. The rose bowl records are the only difference between the two.

He went 8-3 in bowl games (including 3-0 in Rose Bowls) for a school that was 1-4 in its history prior to him. He also won them 3 Big 10 titles when they hadn’t won the conference since the early ’60s.

From what I have read, UW will be paying Bama in the cowboy classic, 2015 iirc. Looking forward to it.

Should be good hire. Time will tell. Tired of the run up the middle. Change will do Wisconsin well. Alvarez/Canada needed to take a chance down field and never did.

Damn norm tide taking my comment context. Tell me someone, how many times can you run a jet sweep, and why on 4th and goal when you have the Doak Walker winner are you going wildcat to James White? Lastly why again does NC State want Matt Canada? Dude had 1 good game this year play calling (round 2 vs Nebraska).
