Year in and year out Boise is a better team than Oregon so if Kelly leaves Peterson stays. Probably the OC hire is best for Oregon although no one is going to win a NC at Oregon including Kelly.

hightailing to the NFL because of looming sanctions, maybe, but Chip Kelly doesn’t come across to me as a run and cut kind of guy. Hope all this hype doesn’t keep the Ducks from the task at hand, Beat the Wildcats!

Interesting stuff out on the street on why Dirk Koetter would turn down an NFL Head Coach job to stay as an assistant with the Falcons. It was Koetter who told Chris Petersen to enjoy his time in Boise and that bigger is not always better.

Petersen is more positive about this year’s recruiting class than any since he’s been at Boise. If he can take two star players and turn them into first rounders who knows what the future might bring.

When you can win, have the media and the fans trained, be in a nice place, and make millions of dollars, a smart man balances his drive and ambition.

Hmm, seems to me that knowing the NCAA is getting ready to drop the hammer might cause anybody ready to accept the job to take pause. No way any in demand coach should accept that job without a ten year or so contract because things could be slim there for about 5 years once the penalties are enforced.
