APAs Ole Miss continues preparations for Saturday’s BBVA Compass Bowl game against Pittsburgh, the Rebels won’t have to begin preparing for the loss of their leading rusher.
While it wasn’t he would, running back Jeff Scott confirmed after practice Thursday that he will indeed be returning to the Rebels in 2013 and play his senior season in Oxford. “I’m coming back next year, just working on myself and helping my team out,” Scott said according to the Jackson Clarion-Ledger.
Scott had submitted paperwork to the NFL Draft Advisory Committee but has yet to receive any type of feedback as to where he might have been selected. Because of his size (listed at 5-7, 170 pounds) Scott didn’t figure he’d grade very high at this point in time.
The true junior has led the Rebels in rushing each of the past two seasons, including 828 yards this season.
Hey John, I don’t know who Reid is but it sure isn’t Jeff Scott. Edit your work next time. Go Rebs
