Burgandy:

The other, Nate, was never highly recruited in HS. Hell, he didn't even start at QB as a senior in HS. He was not offered a scholarship at ND but welcomed to walk on by former HC Charlie Weis who is buds w/ Joe. I don't think Kelly was as welcoming thus since he's left ND his dad has rarely said anything positive about his alma mater. Nick was highly recruited....I believe he was a 4-star. I'm guessing he was never interested in ND b/c he wanted to avoid the unfair comparisons he would have heard. Hope he pans out at Tulane. Weren't they an original member of the SEC?

I don't know what Washington was thinking. Genetics and early environmental training from dad probably make nick a potentially amazing quarterback. And Washington let him play basically one game under Keith price? Obviously Washington didn't succeed with that decision. Look at their record, regardless of a win over Stanford this year. Morons.

It appears that the apple did fall far from the tree on both the Montana boys. They were both in big football programs that have tons of notoriety and neither could cut it. Now it looks like they both landed some place where the name alone gets them coddled like babies. I'm sure it's tough having to live up to the name but if they don't succeed, which I'm assuming will be the case, then all this was a big waste. Maybe they should've been architects!
