We had a great year, we all should of knew we were playing a great defensive coach and we dont have the players yet on offense.. saying that I think we have a better coach now and great ball players coming in on offense as well as defense. Do you all not remember under Urban Meyer our offense was not real good our special teame and defense score a lot of points or put the offense in great field poision.. Remember all the stories we read in the paper, or inter net about the gator player being in trouble, well we don’t see those kind of thing’s anymore. Give these coaches a chance.

@rsmeans They are very likely to drop a couple games next year if there offense doesn’t improve. All there big defensive play makers are declaring for the draft.

As a Gator fan, I’m not embarrassed by our loss either. I honestly believe it’s going to be a good thing for the program.

A few years ago when Saban was in his first year at Alabama, I seem to remember that they went to the Sugar Bowl and laid a goose egg against Utah. IT TURNED OUT TO BE PRETTY GOOD FOR THEM.

I dont see any reason why lessons for the program wont be learned by this and we’ll see marked improvement on this season, which WAS NOT a bad year for us anyway.

It’s all about perspective. Pretty funny when losers have to spend their time looking up that Florida had the 8th hardest schedule instead of the first.

Florida did not have the hardest schedule in the nation this year. Missouri did had the hardest schedule.

Florida came in at #8.

CJ is buried in the depth chart and feels as though he is good enough to start somewhere else. Best of luck…happens all of the time on talented rosters.

@gatorfan1: funny stuff…people forget that this was a “rebuilding year”.

I will take 11 win rebuilding years every year. Wish that the team finished stronger, but couple a young, inexperienced team with a young HC and you can/will have brain farts in big games. Let’s see what happens next time around. I think that it was a good, HUMBLING, lesson for the Gators. Hopefully Boom will use it a fuel for a fire.

Haha, agreed. I am not at all ashamed of our loss to Louisville. Disappointed? Definitely. If you were like me, I expected much less out of our football program this year, so an 11-2 record has still blown my expectations.

NEWSFLASH

The University of Florida has decided to drop football. The decision was made, that since Florida is the ONLY team to ever lose a game that it was supposed to win the school is not able to get over the embarrassment.

Even though since 1990 the program has the most wins in NCAA Football and tied with Alabama & Nebraska for the most NC’s the “overratedgators” cannot handle the shame of losing to Louisville.

This year the Gators went 11-2 against the hardest ranked schedule in the nation and went 7-1 in the hardest conference, which is about to win a possible 7th NC in a row; even with all that the administration has decided to give up the sport. Jeremy Foley was heard to say “oh the humanity” of suffering through such a tough year”.

Coach Muschamp will be re-assigned to coach flag football between the houses and become the badminton coach.

The school has also decided to turn Ben Hill Griffin Stadium into the largest dog park in the nation.

The school has also brought up a resolution that any other school in the nation that has ever lost a game that it shouldn’t, also follow suit. However, after a careful review the NCAA realized that by following Florida’s example there would be no schools in the nation left to play football!!!

I’m definitely upset that we lost to a Big East team but if you look at the games versus Bowling Green and ULALA you should look at how we played. I watch the press conferences on gatorvision after each game and you’ll notice that in the games versus BG and ULALA we played very differently. Will Muschamp used those two games to exercise some different strageties (assuming we would win even if we played like crap. I agree, not the best mindset) Will Muschamp was the first to say that Brent Pease was definitely upset because he wanted to run an offense when Muschamp wanted to take the opportunity to try some new things out. That’s why we struggled against BG. We ran the ball up the gut even though Pease had different plays in mind. Think of it like preseason in the NFL. I don’t like it and wish Muschamp would just let his OC do his thing but that’s why we struggled against those lousy teams. And since we still have half of our roster cluttered with Urban Meyers recruits we have actually had a successful special team this year.

I do actually consider it luck. How many punts does a team block a year when they supposedly line up to block them? How many punts did UF block this year? I guess I would be pissed to if my team had to beat Louisiana Lafayette with a blocked kick and get stomped by a Big East team. Silence……….TOUCHDOWN LOUISVILLE!!!!!!

Totall forgot about that. And you’re right, when you line up with intentions of blocking a punt and you execute, definitely luck. Give me a break man. Teams line up all the time to block punts and extra points. The fact that they block it doesn’t mean it was luck, it means they finally executed and out played the opposing special teams they way the play was drawn up. I bet your team has had their share of blocked punts but I bet you’d never call it luck.

On second thought, don’t even bother sharing your team. Probably some middle of the road Big 10 team. You hate us just like every other team that can’t win a National Title. Chances are my Gators with all their “lucky” breaks still had a better record than your team, probably played in a better bowl. We probably have a better recruiting class too. Hell, I’ll venture to say we’re probably ranked over your team even with the loss the Louisville.

Please, do share who your team is. And please help me understand how we got through the regular season with an 11-1 record being lucky? You don’t have a “lucky” season when you have the hardest schedule in the nation which the Gators faced in 2012. Last year we went 7-6 (including the bowl game). THAT is getting a lucky break.

I think these kids are realizing that the gators will not use them as full time starters, and they probably have some good recruits coming in for 2013. If they want a chance to be full time, and they don’t see the opportunity where they are at, it is wise to transfer.

These decisions had nothing to do with arrogance or false promises and EVERYTHING to do with playing time.

Discussions are going on all over the country at this time so coaches know exactly how many scholies they have to offer before the Feb 6th signing day.

As far as freeing up student athletes Muschamp has allowed 2 players to sign in the SEC so he seems to be all about letting kids that aren’t going to be big contributors go where ever they think they will fit in best. I applaud Muschamp for this stance and hope more coaches will do the same………….

UF had a great season this year but most of it can be racked up to lucky breaks. Next year they will be fornunate to win 8 or 9 games. Like LSU they were vasily overrated this year.
