Getty ImagesIt’s that time of the year for draft declarations. As I’m sure you’ve seen already, our Draft Declarations Tracker is filling up. The good news for Wisconsin is that one of its best offensive playmakers confirmed he will not be on that list.
Per the Wisconsin State Journal, there was a rumor going around that Badgers wide receiver Jared Abbrederis was leaning toward leaving Madison for the NFL. Turns out that was news to Abbrederis.
Via a statement through the university Saturday night, Abbrederis said, “I’m coming back for my senior year and am excited for it.”
Badger fans should be excited too. The junior reeled in 49 receptions for 837 yards and five touchdowns this past season.
Not that he will, but Abbrederis still has until about midway through this month to change his mind.
Way to go kid; I’m sure you won’t regret it at all.
Sincerely, Jordan Taylor
Ahhh…go pro, what? Are you nuts?
For those of you who think his stats aren’t that good, consider that Wisconsin threw about 8 passes a game the last 5 or 6 games.
He wants to come back for another bowl game loss
