Another bayou adios as Michael Ford leaves LSU

With five underclassmen already officially gone, and three others all but official, LSU has been hit harder than any other school by far when it comes to players leaving early for the NFL.

Unfortunately for the Tigers, the hits keep on coming.

Running back Michael Ford confirmed to ESPN.com‘s Joe Schad that he’s decided to bid adieu to the Bayou Bengals and take his game into the NFL draft. Ford becomes the second Tiger back to leave as a junior this year, joining teammate Spencer Ware.

I gave all my talents to LSU. I feels there is a higher ceiling out there for me,” Ford told Schad. “I have speed, I can catch, I can block and I can run through tackles. All the guys going pro? Our dream is to make it to the NFL.”

Ford finished third on the Tigers with 392 yards, and finishes his LSU career with 1,416 yards and 13 touchdowns.
