Getty ImagesUh, oops?
New Kentucky head coach Mark Stoops has his first known off-field incident with which to deal, with offensive lineman T.J. Jones having been arrested following an incident in his hometown of Myrtle Beach in mid-December.
According to WMBF-TV in that city, Jones was charged with a weapon law violation. Jones allegedly brought a gun (not pictured) into his former high school either before or after an incident that occurred in one of the school’s locker rooms.
No further details were provided.
A school spokesperson told the Lousivlle Courier-Journal that Stoops is out of town at the moment, but “will address the issue when he returns” and can “gather relevant information.”
Jones was not listed on the Wildcats’ final two-deep depth chart after not playing for as a true freshman.
After everything that has occurred in the national news, TJ Jones brings a gun into a school! Brilliant!
What a GD idiot! He deserves what the law dishes out in this case.
There is no “Lexington Courier-Journal”. There is the Lexington Herald Leader and the Louisville Courier-Journal.
I see Mark is taking his brother Bob’s approach to discipline. We’ll handle it in house.
Kentucky has football players????
Welcome to the SEC, Stoops.
S-E-C! S-E-C! S-E-C!
When keeping it real goes wrong.

While certainly not to the same degree of stupidity, James Wilder Jr. is no angel either….ACC. Not to mention cheating scandal at the “prestigious” U. of North Carolina at Chapel Hell. Point is, everyone at every school has the knuckleheads.
Another day in the wild wild west….
