Yeah I hear Jake is going to return…. That helps… A lot!

Yeah Sherman built this team but Sumlin took it to new heights… I don’t know that Sumlins been anywhere long enough to “build” a team. Most of his success has come on previous coaches recruiting classes. He seems to be doing pretty well on the trail right now but will these guys manifest into first round talent like the guys Sherman went out and got.

Rumor is Jake is coming back. He will move to LT, his brother will play center.

Gonna really miss Joeckel. He he was great. It will be interesting to see if Sumlin develops O Lineman over an extended period of time. Mike Sherman built this race car of a team and then gave the keys to Sumlin. Sherman didn’t win enough, but he sure did have an eye for talent.

I know it hurts to lose a guy that good, but there’s no decision…. take the money. Tear that ACL because a D tackle falls on the back of your knee and you just lost $20MM. Or pull a Matt Leinart/Matt Barkley and stay, not get injured, have so/so seasons and fall out of the first round…

Take the money. If I am Jake Matthews… and smart people are telling me I’m a first rounder… take the money!

I wanted them to stay as much as the next Aggie because for the first time I can remember… the Aggies have a LEGITIMATE shot at the NC next year, but its WAY too big of a risk for them to stay.

As a chiefs fan we should take him number 1 the only other guy I would even entertain is star loutilli of Utah. Again as I said last night please aj mccarron declare we would love to have u in Andy Reids system. What else do u have to accomplish at Alabama. You look like a number 1 pick to me.

A&M is really starting to represent in the NFL.

Von Miller a couple of years ago went #2
Tannehill last year in the top 10
and Joekel and Moore this year will both be top 10 guys.

Ouch… That hurts.

I never get mad at players for leaving early though… the risk is too great and you never get that money back… Good luck to him and I’ll be a fan of his team every week they’re not playing the Texans.

Hopefully Matthews will stay. It’s gonna bee hard to sustain this years success for the Aggies without these two guys…
