ReutersBack in mid-November, Nick Saban described D.J. Fluker as “a guy who’s probably going to go out for the draft.”
Armed with three BCS title rings in four years at the school, that appears to very much be the case.
While the school has yet to confirm the futures of any draft-eligible underclassmen, TideSports.com is reporting that Fluker has decided early entry into the NFL draft is the best course of action for his immediate football future. The offensive lineman was named to the first-team ALL-SEC squad and a second-team All-American following the 2012 season.
The website reports that a press conference could be held as early as tomorrow to announce the future intentions of a handful of underclassmen who have been considering an early jump to the NFL, including running back Eddie Lacy and cornerback Dee Milliner.
Best wishes young man. Thanks for the memories.
ROLL TIDE #15
Thanks for all you have done. Roll Tide, looking forward to see you playing on Sunday.
Good opportunity for elite OL recruits to join a team that over time will win multiple NC’s and best develop 5 star NFL talent.
I wish Dee Milliner would stay but I know that’s probably not going to happen. I mean what would you do if somebody was offering you millions of dollars and your fingers were already loaded with Championship rings?
