Mikey,i was thinking on the same line on that ND headcoach.drcmrn,the chick-fil-a` i perfer the bucket at KFC.You northern teams can`t compete with the SEC,come next Jan we`ll be ready for the next NC.To bad ND has`nt scheduled better teams to prove they should be there,imo it should of been Bama vs Oregon.Sorry boys.

mungman69, according to reports, the Eagles do want him. Honestly, I’m hoping this doesn’t happen (he wouldn’t last in the NFL). And I can tell you right now, we Eagles fans would be pissed to no end if they do hire him. Not at Kelly, but at the people running the organization who hired him.

It would be interesting to know what the Eagles do want. Tick-tock. If they don’t want this Kelly, why waste a second interview on him considering the time they already wasted on the other NCAA Kelly?

And if Brian Kelly is content to remain at Notre Dame–where money is no object to keeping him–why would he return to Philly for a second interview?

This surprises me on both counts. I get that, while he’s a great pro coach, Andy Reid was burned out in Philadelphia. But I don’t see why Jeffrey Lurie would see Brian Kelly as a viable alternative based on his coaching experience. And I certainly don’t get why Brian Kelly would for a nanosecond consider leaving South Bend for the toughest venue in the NFL. After a loss like the one in Miami, Eagles fans would be pelting him with beer bottles.

It’s all about wringing as much money out of ND as he can. He’s not going anywhere. He’s not a pro coach. ND should let him go and re-hire him for $1.5 mill in three years when he’s fired by the Eagles.
