#billmead, be careful what you ask for. Law schools are graduating attorneys at a higher rate than ever before, and a LOT of them are having trouble finding work in this economy. Demand too much and whether you saved your client a pile of cash or not, you might end up on the outside looking in. Remember, they own that strategy you discovered for them now. You don’t. Your leverage was BEFORE you saved them the money, NOT after. What you should have done was go to them and say, “I have a strategy that’ll save you a quarter of a million. I get a $100K of it, or the strategy goes in a desk drawer. Deal?”

He scraped by too many times this year in games…. It was the players that won those close games, not Kelly . He would flop in the pros and be looking foe a div11 team to coach. He lucked himself into the position of talking with pros by skinning by on games this year . His players done respect him.

The assistant coaches are vastly underpaid for a school that prints their own money. ND assistants have always complained about being paid below what most teams give. Half the schools in the B1G pay their assts more than ND.

Like one of the previous posters said, ND is notoriously slow in adapting to change. BK is the first coach at ND to institute a training table for players only…while every school in America has enjoyed this perk for years. If anyone knows anything about football, it’s ridiculous to expect your athletes to gain the necessary nutrition to maintain weight & strength throughout a year by eating at the cafeteria with other kids.

What is ND not doing? They hired a big name and pay him a lot.

I think coaches using interest from other teams for a raise is ridiculous, but a school giving a coach who too the team from BAD to in the National Championship game isn’t a bad reason to give him a raise.

Incredible. I’m a tax attorney. I dreamed up a strategy and saved one of my clients a quarter million in taxes. I’m going to walk next year unless he agrees to double my rate.

Total joke. Coaches using other jobs, knowing they don’t really want that job, to squeeze their employer for more money when they are already over paid.
