Getty ImagesGranted his release from Southern Miss in December, quarterback Anthony Alford has apparently found his new collegiate destination.
Via his Twitter account, Alford indicated that he will head to Ole Miss, although that has not yet been confirmed by the school.
Alford started five games as a true freshman in 2012 — a winless campaign under former head coach Ellis Johnson. He led the team in passing yards and rushing touchdowns while placing third on the team in rushing yards despite being one of a handful of quarterbacks to start during the season.
Two weeks before he left the program, Alford was connected to an on-campus fight and was charged with aggravated assault.
